An electrolyte manufacturer at heart
E-Lyte Innovations GmbH (E-Lyte) is a start-up company founded in May 2019, which emerged from the MEET Battery Research Center of WWU Münster within the EXIST research transfer funding program. In a short time, E-Lyte has become an internationally operating company and the brand “E-Lyte” has become synonymous with the most innovative and high-quality electrolytes “Made in Germany” in the energy storage market.
E-Lyte is a full-service partner in the field of development and production of customized high-performance electrolytes for electrical energy storage devices (e.g. lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries and supercapacitors) to enable optimal performance for a wide range of applications and energy storage technologies. The overall goal of E-Lyte is to contribute to the successful transformation of the energy sector and to directly drive the energy transition.
Quality Management
E-Lyte Innovations operates a systematic and process-oriented quality management. The company’s goal is to meet the diverse individual and technologically challenging requirements of our customers with the highest level of technology in order to guarantee a high product and work quality. E-Lyte Innovations’ quality management system is ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 certified.

We were awarded with the 2nd place at the Gründerpreis NRW 2022
E-Lyte was able to assert itself in the founder environment of North Rhine-Westphalia 2022 against approx. 140 innovative business ideas. The award was presented by the Minister for Economic and Climate Protection Mona Neubaur and the representative of the NRW Bank Mr. Eckhard Forst in the K20 Düsseldorf.
E-Lyte plans to build a production facility in Germany to strengthen the European supply chain for battery production!
– Münster, May 25, 2022 – E-Lyte Innovations GmbH and a new strategic partner, FUCHS Schmierstoffe GmbH, will be the first German company to realize a several thousand ton production plant for customized high-performance electrolytes at a German site.

More space and laboratory in the Technologiehof Münster
Just in time for our 2nd birthday, we can announce that we were allowed to expand to five offices, a workshop and three laboratories in the Technologiehof Münster. We have also been able to double our staff in the last few years, from four employees at the beginning to eight today.
We won the StartGreen Award 2019 in the category future mobility
E-Lyte Innovations was able to prevail against 250 start-ups in the category “Future Mobility”.

The E-Lyte Innovations GmbH is founded in 2019
On the 20th of May 2019, we founded E-Lyte Innovations GmbH with our business partner CUSTOMCELLS® and the materials scientist Prof. Prof. h.c.mult. Dr. Martin Winter.
The project "E-Lyte" receives EXIST Transfer of Research
The pre-seed project “E-Lyte” at the University of Muenster received the EXIST Transfer of Research grant.
