Dr. Ralf Wagner

Description Ralf Wagner studied chemistry (B.Sc.) at the RWTH Aachen University and business chemistry (M.Sc.) at the University of Muenster. He graduated with a PhD in the field of electrolytes for lithium ion batteries in the working group of Prof. Martin Winter at the MEET Battery Research Center of the University of Muenster. During that time, Ralf Wagner has worked for more than a year as an independent technology consultant in the field of lithium ion technology. Since 2018, Ralf Wagner works for Custom Cells Itzehoe GmbH as senior project planner and sales manager. He has overall 8 years of experience in the field of lithium ion batteries and is author/co-author of 35 scientific publications and inventor of 7 patent applications.

Dr. Stephan Röser

Position Chief Operation Officer

Description Stephan Röser studied chemistry at FSU Jena and has many years of research experience in various fields of technology. Since 2013 he has been working at the MEET Battery Research Center in the field of electrolytes and was responsible for a team focusing on the synthesis and electrochemical characterization of novel electrolyte components for LIB as well as the associated laboratory setup. Furthermore, Stephan Röser has several years of experience in project management. He is involved in 20 scientific publications and 6 patent applications.

Dr. Kolja Beltrop

Dr. Kolja Beltrop

Position Chief Technical Officer

Description Kolja Beltrop studied chemistry at the University of Muenster and obtained his doctorate in the group of Prof. Dr. Winter in the field of novel electrolytes based on ionic liquids for lithium ion batteries and alternative energy storage systems. Since 12/2017 Kolja Beltrop is the responsible laboratory manager for the synthesis and electrochemical characterization of electrolyte components at the MEET Battery Research Center. Furthermore, Kolja Beltrop worked as a project coordinator for a BMWi-funded industrial project, where he was responsible for the scientific supervision of doctoral students, as well as the reporting and coordination with project partners. He is involved in 8 scientific publications and 2 patent applications.

Sebastian Staiger

Description Sebastian Staiger studied „Chemistry with Marketing (B.Sc)“ at the European School of Business in Reutlingen and "business chemistry (M.Sc.)" at the University of Muenster. Furthermore, he has five years of professional experience as an Online Marketing Manager and Project Manager and has been working as an independent consultant for digital transformations of small to medium-sized companies for the past two years.

Prof. Dr. Martin Winter

Position Chief Scientific Adviser

Description Martin Winter has been researching in the field of electrochemical energy storage and conversion for almost 30 years. His focus is on the development of new materials, components and cell design for lithium ion, lithium-metal batteries and alternative battery systems. Martin Winter currently holds a professorship for “Materials Science, Energy and Electrochemistry” at the Institute of Physical Chemistry at the University of Münster, Germany. He is founder and scientific director of the MEET Battery Research Center at Münster University and of the Helmholtz-Institute Münster (HI MS) “Ionics in Energy Storage”, a division of Forschungszentrum Jülich. The E-Lyte Innovations GmbH was founded in May 2019 as a spin-off from the MEET Battery Research Center of the University of Muenster as part of the "EXIST Research Transfer" program funded by the Federal Ministry of Energy and Economics, the European Social Fund for Germany and the European Union.
